Lake Manassas property prices start in the high $400,000s, and can reach as high as $2 million. In addition to resale properties, buyers can also purchase a vacant lot, and have one of the community's high end custom home builders build their dream home from scratch. Lake Manassas home sites are approximately 1/4 to 1 acre in size, and offer homeowners sweeping views of the Stonewall Golf Club, Lake Manassas, and wooded areas.
Families, retirees, and luxury buyers are all drawn to the Lake Manassas real estate market. The landscape is amazing, the people are friendly, and recreation opportunities abound. The community is located within the city of Gainesville, so there are a number of great shopping and dining options available. A few of my favorite eateries include Pizza Margherita, Bonefish, China Inn, El Tio’s Family Mexican, Mimi’s Café, Pizzaria Uno’s, and Blue Ridge Crabs and Seafood. I also recommend checking out Wegmans, which is located at the new Shoppes at Stonewall. This grocery store has gourmet departments, in-store restaurants, a wine shop, and great prices.
The Lake Manassas Lifestyle: Golf & Recreation
Lake Manassas is home to the Stonewall Golf Club, which has been named one of the best public courses in America by both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. The course is challenging and offers players gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding houses. The clubhouse has a wonderful restaurant, and regularly hosts weddings, corporate events, and community nights. If you're looking for variety in your golf adventures, bordering the Lake Manassas community is the private Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, which has hosted the President's Cup Golf Tournament on a number of occasions.
In addition to the fairways, Lake Manassas also features wooded walking trails, paved jogging paths, nature preserves, a basketball court, and a children's playground. The community also houses a Swim and Tennis center, which has lit tennis courts and an Olympic-sized swimming pool. There's also a wading area for the littlest members of the family.
One of the best parts about living in Lake Manassas is its abundance of wildlife. Among the local species are blue heron, hawks, groundhogs, geese, rabbits, beaver, deer, a variety of birds, and even singing frogs! Foxes also call Lake Manassas home, and in fact joined my family on the golf course one day. There were 3 fox cubs playing in a sand trap, when my husband hit a great shot onto the green, attracting the attention of one of the cubs. With his eye on the prize, the cub chased down the golf ball, scooped it up, and kept it for his private collection.
