The colonial town of Warrenton is located in the upper Piedmont region of Virginia State's Fauquier County. Its the county seat and the largest town in Fauquier County. It was incorporated in 1810 and was named after a Revolutionary War hero by the name of General Joseph Warren who was closely related to Paul Revere.
