Manassas VA Real Estate Information

Rich in history Manassas started as Manassas Junction, a Railroad stop on the O&A (Orange and Alexandria Railroad).  This railroad played an important role in the American Civil War and parts of this line are still in use now through the modern day Norfolk Southern Rail System.  There were several major battles fought in and around Manassas.  The Battle of Manassas 1st Campaign also known as the Battle at Bull Run and the Second Campaign the Battle of Manassas were horrible and bloody battles.  The Manassas Battlefield is a National Park with trails and tours offered daily.  Manassas has also become a popular bedroom community and business center in the Washington DC Metropolitan area.

Housing options are vast and so is Manassas.  Spanning over 4 zip codes, the area is both diverse and broad reaching.  Large rural tracts are still available in some areas of Manassas.  While other areas of Manassas offer a suburban flair.  Traditional single family, Condominium, and townhouse developments are abundant in Manassas.  There are several communities that offer family friendly amenities as well as community run and privately run pool facilities and community facilities.  New homes are developing where the old Motor Speedway had previously been located near the Manassas Fair Grounds.  The Prince William County government center is also located in Manassas.   Manassas is booming.  Companies, such as Amazon, Micron Technologies, and Lockheed Martin, are building data centers and corporate hubs along the Manassas corridor.  I66 and the VRE (Virginia Rail Express) offers commuter access to Washington DC.  Many businesses are finding lower cost and better tax structure in Manassas.

Some of my favorite communities in Manassas are Arrowood, Ashland, Bear Creek, Bradley Square, Cayden Ridge, Foxmill, Georgian Hamlet, Independence, Mayfield Trace, Meadowbrook Woods, Occoquan Forest, Old Town Manassas, Paradise, Robnel, Roseberry, Sudley, Sumner Lake, Wellington Clover Hill, Woodbine Woods, and Westgate of Lomond.
